Rich Amooi's Books ALWAYS Leave Me Smiling

Rich Amooi has written and published 24 books.  I've only read 5 or 6, but that is NOT a reflection of how much I enjoy them.  They are all romantic comedies, and I defy anybody to not smile and laugh a lot when they read an Amooi.  And let's not forget that he isn't just funny. He writes a mean romance!

Rich's latest is ICE ICE Maybe.  Nolan Reid is an ex-hockey player who had a great career ahead of him until he had an injury that took him off the ice as a player...permanently.  Zena Dalton is the daughter of the billionaire owner of the professional hockey team, the San Diego Sea Lions.  She also runs the non-profit foundation on behalf of the team.

The Sea Lions are not a good team.  Mr. Dalton has just signed a star player, Mitch Redding, to bring some life to the team.  They only have 20 games remaining in the season, and Dalton is hoping that Redding can get them into the playoffs and beyond.  Why would such a big time player want to come late in the season to a floundering team?  Well, he used to play with the Sea Lions and had/has a thing for Zena. Nolan, who runs the Zamboni machine for the team, is called into Dalton's office.  He wants Nolan and Zena to pretend that they have a thing going on so that Redding will be frustrated and take it out on the Sea Lions' opponents.  Do you know where this might be going?  As romance author Katherine Center said, and I paraphrase: It's not about the predictability.  It's about the anticipation!
