May Author Events at VHOB (yes, I know it's already May 5)

We've got some tremendous author events coming up this month.  Here they are (you already know about California Bookstore Day this past Saturday - I'm moving past that one):

Tuesday, May 6, VHOB Book Club - Slow Getting Up, by Nate Jackson - 6:30-7:15 for book club discussion and 7:15-8:15 to ask Nate questions and have him sign your book - remember that you don't have to be a VHOB Book Club member to come and see Nate



Friday, May 9 - Ditch Kids, by Mike Degregorio -this is a launch event for Mike's book - the festivities start at 6:00, with the Jerry Best Band debuting their new song, This Bay, along with food and beverages - Mike will start reading/discussing/answering questions/signing books at 7:00 until 8:00-8:30 - P.S.  launch events are a bunch of fun



Saturday, May 10, 2:00-4:00 - C. Lee McKenzie will be signing 2 of her books - The Princess of Las Pulgas and Sliding on the Edge - I read Princess and loved it and am almost done with Sliding - and love that one too - come get books for YA's AND adults




Thursday, May 15, 7:00-8:00 - J.D. Horn will be introducing us to his debut novel, The Line, book #1 of his Witching Savannah series (book #2, The Source, is coming soon - J.D. can tell us when to expect it)



Saturday, May 17, 2:00-4:00, Ande Jacobson, author of Remembering Mom and Dad, will be at VHOB to sign books - come and talk to Ande about her and her parents



Wednesday, May 21, 7:00-8:00 - Betsy Franco, author of Naked (with her son, Tom, who illustrated the book), will be reading, answering questions, and signing (the uzh)



And, finally - Thursday, May 29, 7:00-8:00 - The Blue Eyed Girl, by William Goodson - Bill is a surgeon who has written non-fiction - but this is his 1st novel



Are we the bomb or what!
