Okay, all, because of my computer ineptitude, I sent a blog that was incomplete. In fact, I may have sent the incomplete blog twice. Those of you who know me are not the least surprised. Here are the last 2 paragraphs of the blog:
"Other than Hayhurst, who is a lightweight, I would recommend all of these books to anybody who enjoys a well-constructed, oftentimes exciting, and always interesting action story.
P.S. Marshall sent a comment about getting recommendations from some of you. Please send along your choices for authors. Since a great many of the books I read come from Bob and Rich, I know they will be able to add to the list."
My easy recommendations- The Help by Kathryn Stockett, The Summerhouse by Jude Deveroux (women) and I can't think of my 3rd right now.
ReplyDeleteA few times in your blog you mentioned NOT James Patterson. Although I am done with him I must say I thoroughly enjoyed his first Alex Cross books- Along Came a Spider and Kiss the Girls. These were mindless, quick, vacation reads that I know adults still enjoy. They are like movies you know have no Oscar potential but are fun to watch and not have to think about.
Also, I am a follower of your blog, but no notification came of this post. hmmm...
Jen
I think James Patterson needs to "green" himself up a bit. More words per page (less white space) would help. He wastes too many trees.
